Natalie Pompilio is a freelance writer and editor in Philadelphia.
Formerly a reporter for Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Daily News, and The (New Orleans) Times-Picayune, Natalie documents the world as through the eyes of ordinary people going about their lives — or facing extraordinary challenges. She reported from Baghdad as the insurgency against US military operations began gathering force, and covered Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath.
She has also contributed to numerous magazines, including Obit, Yes!, American Journalism Review, New Jersey Monthly, and U.S News and World Report.
Natalie is also the coauthor of “More Philadelphia Murals and the Stories They Tell' (Temple University Press, 2006) and the children's book "Philadelphia A to Z."
