More Sunday columns from The Philadelphia Inquirer

For this week’s column, I interviewed the Ross family of Wynnewood, PA. I’d talked to Wendy Ross last year after she was named one of CNN’s “Heroes” for 2014 for her work with autistic children and their families. I thought Wendy was super cool then. Now I’m impressed by her entire family. This piece is about her husband’s colon cancer and how humor and positive thoughts helped him during his treatment. He’s now raising money for cancer research. Last month, I spoke to the founders of Common Market about how good food affects good health and a good life. I was inspired by a recent project I did with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation on creating a culture of health. I plan to touch on the different issues in future columns as well.
