In honor of MLK Day

My Inquirer Currents column this week looked a two-year long project that hopes to bring sensitive issues, like race and class, into the public discussion. “Elephants on the Avenue: Race, Class and Community in Historic Germantown” seemed like a great project to talk about this MLK weekend. I also wrote an MLK event round-up for this week’s paper. While the events may be over, it’s still worth a read to look at how this holiday has grown in meaning. Read that here.
