LGBT Philly redux: Another interview with Obergefell, an article about trans kids and more on this weekend’s 50th anniversary celebration

UPDATED 7/4/2015: Here’s my Associated Press piece covering the actual anniversary ceremony.

EARLIER POST: I have the cover stories in Philadelphia’s City Paper this week. One is about the growing number of transgender youths coming out and how the world has become more accepting. (It’s still far from perfect.)

The other is highlighting this weekend’s 50th anniversary LGBT civil rights celebration. Worth viewing if only to see the photo of the rainbow crosswalks in an area of town known as the “Gayborhood.”

I also talked to Jim Obergefell, the named plaintiff in the Supreme Court case legalizing same sex marriage, for another Q&A. He’s in town right now to celebrate the 50th anniversary, too.

And if you missed my earlier Q&A with Obergefell, you can find it here.

Happy 4th!
