Haverford

Back after vacation and excited to share some of my most recent work from Haverford College’s alumni magazine.

Most recently, I wrote a web only story about the college’s first ever public policy forum. I then updated that article for the print edition of the magazine. That article is not yet available online.

This piece is about the Russian Media Center, a website run by two former Haverford students. It translates Russian news reports into English. As one of the founders told me, “A lot of Americans think all Russian media is propaganda and garbage. While there is a lot of bluster — especially on television — there are publications that cover the news in a fairly balanced, thoughtful manner. I felt they deserved a chance to be presented.”

And last year, I wrote about the college’s newly formed Task Force on Diversity and Community.

Next up: A Haverford grad gives up on the rat race to follow her acting dream. Stay tuned….
